This week's simple pleasure is more than a photo.
It's a feeling.
After a sweltering summer, September came and magically Fall was in the air. It's no secret how much I love fall (and don't worry - you will get a Claire Loves Fall! post soon enough).
It's in the 60s for a few precious hours in the early morning. I see geese flying south, silhouetted against the crisp humidity-freeish sky on my drive to work. I know all things pumpkin are coming. I see the sharpness in the clear blue air, and feel the urge in my bones to snuggle up in a sweatshirt.
And that, my friends, is no simple pleasure. It's immense pleasure.
pure pleasure...
ReplyDeleteCAN'T WAIT for fall to arrive her in CA; summer seems to have hit us late this year- which I'm not complaining about!
I love geese. All types of migrating birds, really. Happy fall!
ReplyDeleteYes! I love this feeling! Hoodie sweatshirts and shorts just make my day. And the smell of firepits/bonfires. Sooooo good.
ReplyDeleteso i don't watch the birds but know when the seals begin to sun bathe in mass quantities (like 3 times more than normal) fall is coming!
ReplyDeleteClaire-
ReplyDeleteJust realized that I forgot to say THANK YOU for your comment on my post last week. I know I said it on my blog, but I want to say it to you directly, because I was a little nervous to be quite that honest on my blog, and your quick (and genuine) response eased my nerves! And what you said about Ryan is so true... I'm a lucky gal:).
I hope your weekend was nice... saw your 'tweet' yesterday and thought, does that mean she had to work??
I'm right there with you on the fall feeling!
