It's week 2 of Kim's Dare to DIY party. This week is all about showing off your Thanksgiving table. I have to admit, this week isn't my strong point. Our house isn't exactly built for entertaining, so we don't do much of it. Regardless, here's what's sitting on our kitchen table
It was put together using the shop yo closet method:
This was definitely a work with what ya got kinda table. I found this giant cutting board at the thrift store for only $3. It's from Lands End, is in great shape, and is super heavy and solid. It doesn't even look like it got much cutting in it's day. I got super excited when I found it. So this will be my centerpiece starter.

Dude, I am ALL about shopping my house these days. Mostly 'cause I'm poor :) And I feel you on not entertaining. Last year I set up a buffet for nobody...so sad. Ha. Anyway, awesome job on working with what ya got. Betcha be'll the only one using a cutting board on their table!

ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to go back and snatch up the cutting boards I found at Goodwill today... I was trying to figure out a great use for them to convince myself I HAD to buy them--and now I have one! Thanks!!

ReplyDeleteI love your centerpiece and especially that you used what you have. I'm going to be gathering a bunch of candles, vases, etc. that we've collected over the last few years along with items that my grandma has used for many years. Simple & nostalgic.
The shop your own closet method is great! I used that method for this week's challenge, too! :)
